Coastal Collage

I have spent a lot of time exploring the Pacific Coast over the last year. Most of the collages at the moment are from a trip to Santa Cruz in August. The first collage of this series started with a combination of photos I had taken from a trip in the van down the coast from Mendocino to San Francisco.

I went through my camera roll and printed out photos. I didn’t know what I was going to do with them and had the stack of photos in a desk drawer for months. I had taken them out many times wanting to do something with them but they always ended up back in the drawer. Only when traded my San Francisco apartment for a rustic wood cabin was I able to finally get to work.
